Voting yes to several slots used to mean you liked them all equally, and the poll had no way to tell them apart. Now you can mark one of your yes answers as your top pick. It never adds to a slot's score, so a few enthusiasts cannot take the meeting away from the time more people can attend - it only settles the case where two slots finish level, which happens often once a dozen people have voted. Before this, that tie was broken by whichever date the organizer happened to type first.

A repeating series creates each new round as its own poll with its own links - and until now those links appeared nowhere the organizer could see, so the round quietly existed and nobody voted in it. The organizer now gets an email carrying both the share link and the admin link, and anyone opening an old round sees an arrow to the current one.

Weekly, biweekly and monthly series now create their next round once every date in the current one has passed, and a series left unused for a long time jumps straight to the present instead of chaining rounds through the past. Series also stop by themselves after three consecutive rounds nobody voted in, so a poll you have moved on from does not follow you forever.

The interface, the emails and the date formats now speak Russian, bringing the total to 14 languages. Voters see the poll in their own language regardless of which one the organizer used to create it.

The blog and the landing pages used a header and footer that no longer matched the rest of the site, and some of them could be dragged sideways on a narrow screen. Every page now carries the same navigation and fits the phone it is read on.

Three options: no email at all, one when the first response arrives, or one for every response. Pick it when you create the poll or change it later on your admin page. People wrote in asking how to switch vote alerts on: the alert existed, but nothing on screen said so or let you choose how often it arrives.

Choosing all-day instead of timed, picking the wrong timezone, or forgetting to set a repeat used to mean creating the poll again from scratch and re-sending the link. All three are editable from the admin page now, including on polls that already have votes.

Every date rendered by the server carried English weekday and month names, so a French poll showed Wed, Aug 12 no matter what the page language said. All 14 languages now use their own names and their own date order - in the results table, the emails and the calendar exports.

An organizer who voted in their own poll was redirected to the results page, which had no route back to the admin screen, and several people simply created the poll a second time. The link back is there now, and it appears only in the browser that created the poll, since the admin link grants full control.

Create a poll and drop it into a channel without leaving Slack. Voting still happens on the web page, so people outside the workspace take part with the same link.

On a phone the share step now opens the operating system share sheet, which puts the poll into whatever your group actually uses - iMessage, Signal, Slack, Mail - instead of only the WhatsApp and Telegram buttons. Desktop keeps the copy button and those two links.

Organizers can delete a single response from the admin page. It also frees the name, so somebody who wants to answer again, or who typed the wrong name, can simply vote again.

Corporate mail filters open every link in an incoming message to check it, which consumed single-use sign-in links before their owner ever clicked. Links are now bound to the device that asked for them, and asking again is one step rather than a dead end.

A poll where nobody could make any slot still crowned its first date - on the results page, in the share preview and in the email. Nobody can make any of these is now a real answer, shown as no winner rather than a false one.

Changed your mind, or clicked the wrong row? Reopen the poll in the same browser you voted from and edit your answers in place. This was the most repeated request in the feedback box; until now the only route was asking the organizer to remove your entry first.

Some all-day events and some cross-timezone slots produced an entry calendars refused or placed on the wrong day. The export now anchors to the actual instant, follows daylight-saving rules, and ends an all-day event on the correct day.

Sign-in links, vote alerts and reminders now arrive in the language you were using on the site, and signed-in accounts remember that choice across devices. Previously every email was English regardless of the interface language.

Korean joins the interface and the emails, and the language switcher shows a flag per language instead of a row of text links.

Swap slots and voters between rows and columns with one button, so a poll with many dates and few people reads as easily as one with few dates and many people. Narrow screens start in whichever orientation fits.

Organizers with an account get an email as soon as the first response arrives, so there is no need to keep reopening the page to check whether anything happened.

Creating a poll no longer forces the same set of times onto every date you picked. Offer 9:00 and 14:00 on Monday and only 18:00 on Thursday, without creating slots you do not mean.

Every viewer now sees the slots converted into their own timezone with the zone named on the page, plus a switch between 24-hour and 12-hour clocks. Polls that run into the following year show the year on each date. All three came from the same note: a US organizer scheduling across timezones could not tell what 14:00 meant for their group.

All-day polls covering many dates render as a month calendar - for voting and for reading the results - instead of a list you have to scroll through. Short polls keep the list.

Dates as columns, times as rows - the compact grid that suits a poll offering several times on each of several days, available next to the original list view. The choice is remembered in your browser.

Polls with six or more slots hid their own answer below the fold. The leading slot now sits in a banner above the table, and clicking it scrolls to that row.

The deadline can be moved or removed after the poll has gone out. It is also enforced on the server now, not only hidden in the interface, so a closed poll really is closed.

A box for telling us what is missing, reachable from the footer of every page and offered once on the admin page after a poll has run its course. It is anonymous unless you leave an address. Most of the entries on this page started there.

Polls with five or more slots get bulk yes / maybe / no buttons that fill everything you have not answered yet, plus a reset. Answering fourteen slots one by one was the most common reason people abandoned a long poll.

Self-serve account deletion, which removes the account and its polls, alongside privacy and imprint pages. Polls created without an account were always anonymous and stay that way.

A one-click Outlook link for the winning slot, next to the existing Google Calendar link and the .ics download that works with Apple Calendar and everything else.

Pick some dates, share one link, and everyone answers yes / maybe / no without creating an account - the whole point being that Doodle has grown heavy and this does not have to be. Date picking supports ranges and whole-week shortcuts. An account is optional and only useful for keeping your own polls in one place.
